Peer Mentoring

Exemplary second year SSS students who have displayed leadership potential are invited to become peer mentors to incoming freshmen. They offer another layer of academic and personal support.

Financial Aid Counseling

Advisers offer assistance with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. In addition students are offered many opportunities and guidance in applying for scholarships and grants.

Student academic success in important to advisors and students alike. Tutoring can be accessed through TRIO in an online and in person format.

Upcoming Events
Workshops:
IECC TRIO SSS hosts two workshops each semester, as well as a summer event referred to as Learning 2 Succeed (L2S ). To qualify for the SSPG Grant, TRIO members must attend L2S along with two workshops throughout the school year.
Fall and Spring Trips:
An all-day event where TRIO takes its students to visit a university and then spend the rest of the day doing fun activities, like seeing a live production, going to laser tag, or something else along those lines.
